Heritage Lottery Fund

In 2009 The Heritage Lottery Fund

Purpose

HLF helps groups and organisations of all sizes with projects that:

  • conserve the UK's diverse heritage for present and future generations to experience and enjoy;
  • help more people, and a wider range of people, to take an active part in and make decisions about their heritage;
  • help people to learn about their own and other people's heritage

Applications

The HLF provides capital costs for its projects. Monitoring documents and forms must be completed as a condition of the grant. Other conditions must be met if the project involves buying land and buildings, doing work on these or buying objects.
